This 2-hour course is designed for caregivers and staff who want to better understand and support residents living with mental illness, serious mental illness (SMI), and cognitive disorders. You’ll learn to recognize common symptoms, explain key differences between conditions, and identify health issues that may mimic mental illness. You’ll also separate myths from facts, reduce stigma, and build confidence in providing safer, more compassionate care.
What To Expect
This course is fully online, self-paced, and can be completed entirely on your phone. You can expect to spend at least 2-hours completing the entire course. Upon successful completion (80% on assessments), you will receive an award certificate indicating your specialty and a digital badge that is independently verifiable through Credly to share on social media.
