This 2-hour course is designed for caregivers and staff who want to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors with confidence and compassion. You’ll learn how to identify triggers, use proactive strategies to prevent escalation, and apply safe de-escalation techniques during crisis behaviors. You’ll also explore how behaviors communicate unmet needs, practice reinforcement-based approaches that support positive outcomes, and learn to document and communicate effectively for better team collaboration.
What To Expect
This course is fully online, self-paced, and can be completed entirely on your phone. You can expect to spend at least 2-hours completing the entire course. Upon successful completion (80% on assessments), you will receive an award certificate indicating your specialty and a digital badge that is independently verifiable through Credly to share on social media.
