This course is designed to prepare healthcare managers with the skills to lead and support high-quality, person-centered memory care. Learners will develop individualized service plans (ISPs) based on resident history, assessments, and regulatory requirements. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary collaboration, culturally responsive practices, and the integration of trauma-informed and ethical care approaches. Learners will analyze staffing models, forecast care needs, and implement adjustments to ensure effective, compassionate support for residents with cognitive decline. The course also prepares learners to enhance staff performance, resolve conflicts, and foster positive team dynamics. Upon completion, participants will demonstrate the ability to apply leadership, communication, and compliance strategies in memory care settings to promote resident well-being and staff satisfaction.
What To Expect
This course is fully online, self-paced, and can be completed entirely on your phone. It contains the following modules in which you have the opportunity to retake assessments until you master your skills.
You can expect to spend anywhere from 4-6 hours completing the entire course. Upon successful completion, you will receive a digital badge indicating your specialty that is independently verifiable through Credly to share on social media.
